C5 - Senior Security & Infrastructure Consultant

In this Senior Consultant in Security and Infrastructure role, applicants will be an integral member of a dynamic Security and Infrastructure practice, responsible for the high-quality delivery of C5's solutions and products. This role will be responsible for delivering excellent consultancy services to our customers. As a senior member of the team, you will be involved in the deployment of enterprise solutions. The role requires being able to help in developing innovative solutions to a high standard. Understanding the importance of client delivery, as well as internal practice and service delivery models. The ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members and business lines are key components for success in this position.

As a Senior Consultant in Security and Infrastructure, applicants will be responsible for leading technical discussions with clients, delivering Security and Infrastructure solutions, and will be required to manage technical delivery by other junior members of the practice. Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and design, implement, and maintain Security and Infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in business development conversations and direct the execution of the sales team, by combining both technical vision and business insight.
  • Prioritise and manage activities for an active pipeline of prospect and customer opportunities. 
  • Involvement in technical pre-sales and support, and where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organisations.
  • Identify potential clients, then build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Support the design, development and delivery of Microsoft Cloud solutions (part of the team or working under own supervision).
  • Responsible for implementing cloud technology-based solutions for the customer.
  • Responsible for consulting, designing, and implementing cybersecurity solutions.
  • Responsible for developing cybersecurity technical proposals.
  • Prepare documentation and present progress reports both internally and externally.
  • Help develop the skills and mentor other team members.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties and projects as required.

Experience: 
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and success in technical architecture and design discussions to meet business challenges. 
  • 3+ years in delivering enterprise-level solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience in “migrating” on-premise workloads to the cloud. 
  • 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects.
  • Experience in Citrix cloud, on-premise and hybrid solution design and delivery. 
  • Experience in designing and delivering cybersecurity solutions. 
  • (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/projects).  
  • Experience in major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams. 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related subject.
Technical Skills:
  • Demonstratable Technical knowledge in Microsoft Azure Infrastructure (IaaS).
  • Experience in implementing Microsoft technologies relating to Office 365 and Microsoft 365.
  • Had exposure to Desktop as a Service solution.
  • Experience in implementing and designing Citrix cloud, on-premise and hybrid solutions.
  • Experience in implementing and designing cybersecurity technical controls and solutions both in the cloud, and on-premises.
  • Knowledge of following the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework with clients.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Azure PowerShell, CLI, Visual Studio, Python, Ruby, and Azure Resource Manager Templates. 
  • Experience in implementing private, public and/or hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Experience in the implementation of moving workloads from on-premises to Azure.
  • Experience implementing and securing resources including Azure Active Directory, Azure App Service Apps, Virtual Networks, and ARM Templates.
  • Experience creating and managing Azure Resource Manager (ARM) virtual machines.
  • Experience in contributing to High and Low-Level Design documentation, describing technical systems solutions, to resolve technical issues and business challenges.
Advantageous:
  • Experience in Backup technologies.
  • Experience in Virtualisation - Hyper-V and/or VMware ESXi.
  • Experience in Citrix Technologies.
  • Experience in Cybersecurity solutions such as SIEM.
  • Experience with SOC.

  • Experience with Endpoint security solutions both on-premises and cloud.
  • Experience in Storage and Compute technologies.
Non-Technical Skills:
  • Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with key stakeholders, and senior executives and growing cloud consumption share in large or highly strategic accounts. 
  • Proven ability to mentor and train junior members of the team.
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts & ensuring follow-through to deliver results.
  • Presentation skills to mixed audiences. 
  • Prior work experience in a consulting position within a software & services company. 
  • Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources. 
  • Exceptional verbal, and written communication and presentation, especially when explaining complex cloud solutions (and architectures) in simple terms.
  • Demonstrate a level of business acumen.
  • Highly organised. Able to prioritise a variety of critical short, medium- and long-term tasks for multiple activities.
