ESI Monitor is a rapidly-growing company based in Guernsey. They were founded in 2019 and by the end of 2021 have taken on over a hundred customers in 12 jurisdictions across the world. ESI help their customers become more sustainable by enrolling them in their Framework – a guided sustainability journey which takes the client’s staff through the process of measuring, managing and minimising the company’s footprint. The Framework is largely digital, supported by professional services, and ESI need's to support and develop the digital solution to give users a great experience and extend the Framework’s functionality as they grow.

 

The role: The Digital Lead is a new position and will be the go-to person for all digital initiatives, and will be primarily responsible for supporting and improving the existing digital Framework and website, and helping develop the next generation of the Framework. This role will be home-based with some travel within the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

 

Package: £24,000-£28,000 with opportunity for ongoing development through the Guernsey Digital Apprenticeship scheme (Business Analyst Level 4 course). 25 days holiday a year.

Initially this position is a 18-month fixed-term contract, but is expected to extend or make the position permanent when possible.

 

Responsibilities:

Support and improve the existing Framework and website:

  • Act as administrator for ESI Monitor’s website and portal, making changes and updates as agreed
  • Ensure data backup and security processes are carried out for the Framework portal
  • Carry out improvement projects using the current Framework set-up (Wordpress, Gravity Forms, MS Office 365 and MS Power Automate)

 

Help develop the next version (V4) of the Framework:

  • Work with others (ESI staff and external contractors) to define and capture requirements for V4.
  • With other members of staff, manage the delivery of external contractors in building the new V4.
  • Deliver certain aspects of the new V4 development (particularly those implemented in low-code solutions such as Cognito Forms and MS Power Automate).
  • Carry out acceptance testing and document management for the new V4 development.

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Good level of understanding of web technology (Basic HTML, CSS, Javascript and Content Management Systems, for example)
  • Good level of understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel etc)
  • High level of self-organisation and attention to detail
  • Able to work in a self-directed manner (we are a remote organisation so face-to-face time is limited)
  • Willingness to explore and learn new skills and systems

 

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (particularly Dataverse and Power Automate)
  • Experience with web application development
  • Experience with databases and data analysis
  • Digital project management experience (particularly Agile)
