Voluntary Social Media Officer

The Clean Earth Trust - Local Guernsey Charity limiting human impact on the environment.

To assist with the growth and development of the charity's projects, they are looking for someone to take the lead on social media.

Working alongside the Head of Operations, this role will be responsible for driving the charity’s social activity, from content curation to delivery.

Working flexibly from home, ideally 2-3 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Assist in developing and executing the communications plan to raise awareness and engagement for each project, campaign, event and The Clean Earth Trust brand

-Develop and maintain an ongoing content plan across all social media channels

-Work with photography and videography, to create engaging multi-media content

-Deliver a monthly engagement report to feedback progress and make recommendations

-Attend the occasional event to deliver onsite and real-time stories


Experience and Skills Required:

-Have a passion for protecting and conserving our environment

-Personable, friendly and respectful

-Great written and verbal communication skills

-Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

-Experience working in a social or communications role

-Proven ability to manage social media assets and run campaigns

-Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (desirable)

-Familiarity with MS Office Suite / Teams (desirable)

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a year’s experience delivering social campaigns, a passion for social and digital media and a creative approach to engaging online audiences.
