‘How to secure corporate sponsorship for your event or project’

Securing sponsorship for a project or specific event can be challenging. Julie Todd and Chris Rowe from Skipton International will be explaining how large organisations like Skipton approach applications for sponsorship funding, what to do (and what not to do!), plus give tips on how to be successful.

The talk will also cover what leverage the company will expect in return, and explain the differences between Skipton’s. corporate sponsorships and charitable Community Fund.

This will appeal to anyone who is seeking corporate funding locally, whether for a one-off community event, or an ongoing project. It will also appeal to those in the charitable sector who seek financial backing for their fundraisers.

Chris works in Skipton’s Commercial team, which includes liaison and support for all of the company’s events and sponsored events. His insight on what organisations expect is second-to-none. With a background in marketing and communications, and as founder of the Guernsey Property & Construction Awards, Julie is fully experienced in securing sponsorships from local companies. Now responsible for the sponsorship activities at Skipton, she has the say on what will, and what won’t, get sponsorship.
