The Innovation Network with Hive Learning

Calling all business innovators across the Bailiwick

It has never been more important — or more critical — to be agile, respond to market conditions quickly, and to problem-solve fast. But innovation isn’t created by going at it alone. It’s created when people share ideas and learn from each other, solving complex, dynamic problems together and working in ever-smarter ways to create value.

A company that knows a bit about this is Hive Learning, the peer learning platform founded by Rugby World Cup-winning coach, Sir Clive Woodward, and the UK’s leading digital venture builder, Blenheim Chalcot.

After helping the England rugby team climb from sixth in the world to World-Cup-winners after building a culture of everyday learning and team working, Clive was excited about the possibilities this approach could hold for businesses.

Blenheim Chalcot, having built more than 40 successful digital businesses, were inspired by Clive’s vision - particularly as an organisation who prided themselves on helping their businesses succeed by enabling knowledge sharing across the group - so each business could go faster by utilising what the others had learnt.

That’s when Hive Learning was born. Today, Hive Learning helps some of the world’s fastest-growing and most forward-thinking organisations drive innovation at scale.

On Friday, 1st May 2020, Hive Learning launched a new digital community for innovators across the Bailiwick of Guernsey

Developed as part of the SMART Guernsey Economic Development Programme, Guernsey’s Innovation Network will give people across the islands practical tools to grow their businesses, and to swap ideas and insights and troubleshoot challenges with their peers — so we can all make progress faster.

“As we have become more sophisticated as a group we have realised that the real power of coming together is from learning from one another and stimulating each other’s growth agendas. We couldn’t do this without Hive Learning.”

Jennifer Ward, Group Talent Director of Halma

What is the Innovation Network?

The Innovation Network is the Bailiwick's own Hive Learning platform.  With the mission to help organisations or dispersed groups of people drive innovation at scale, by collaborating in one central place and accelerating problem-solving and ideation.

As well as creating innovation networks, Hive Learning specialises in developing business-critical skills like leadership, inclusion and resilience.

The platform includes practical resources on innovation, leadership, business skills, and more. These resources are available in accessible bitesize formats to give you actionable tips that you can apply right away to drive real results.

The Innovation Network is designed to bring together practical content and engaging conversation in one digital hub. It’s available on any device as an App for download from the Apple and Google Play stores, and on the web.
