Eagle Lab Guernsey and the Digital Greenhouse are working together to provide a launch pad for new or fledgling business ventures, to accelerate them from business idea to reality. The business accelerator programme runs for 100 days starting with a full-day bootcamp to help you focus and develop your idea, followed by a series of twilight sessions on specific areas to consider when starting a business in Guernsey. Learn start-up best practice with a small cohort of like-minded people and share knowledge and experience. Participants will have access to expert mentors from a variety of professions and gain valuable insight into the local arena.
We are looking for:
- High potential businesses looking to startup in Guernsey
- Potential businesses looking for a structured programme to get them started
- An existing business looking to refresh or pivot their current business model/gain a new perspective
The business accelerator offers the opportunity to:

Session 1 - Head Start Bootcamp
This first session will allow you to spend quality time thinking about your business idea. It will help you define your vision and mission, develop your value propositions and give you support from mentors.
Session 2 - Legal Structures
The first of the twilight sessions will cover topics including:
- How to set up a business in Guernsey
- Protecting your intellectual property
Session 3 - Finance, Revenue & Cost Structures
At this session, you’ll gain insights into budgeting, business plans and how to get access to finance with experts from Barclays. As well as tips on book-keeping, balance sheets and statements from local accounting experts.
Session 4 - Branding & Marketing
Find out why establishing a brand in the early stages of business is so important and how you can use design to communicate to your customers. Also gain an understanding of marketing methods and how to manage the launch of your business.
Session 5 - Mastering Ideation
Challenging you to ask yourself: “What is the entire range of outcomes in front of me?” and use this mindset to creatively problem solve and come up with new ideas for the growth of your start-up businesses.
Session 6 - Presentation Skills
The last of the twilight sessions is all about your pitch, hear some dos and don’ts, and how to alter your pitch to suit your audience delivered by experienced presenters.
The business accelerator ends with an opportunity to present your business idea to your peers and an open audience.
