As Junior Systems Developer, you will support the design, development and maintenance of client-facing digital solutions that enhance the way Canaccord Wealth engages with clients. The role involves working with modern web technologies, APIs, and reporting tools to deliver secure, intuitive, and innovative digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development and testing of client-facing digital applications, portals, and tools
Work with APIs to support integration between core systems and digital platforms
Contribute to the development and enhancement of client reporting and communication tools
Support the delivery of the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, coding, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance
Collaborate with business users, analysts and senior developers to understand requirements and deliver projects on time
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in digital platforms
Stay up to date with modern digital development practices and emerging technologies to support continuous improvement.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Technical / Qualifications

A computing-related degree or equivalent experience is desirable but not mandatory
Experience with web application development using modern frameworks and languages, (e.g. C#/ASP.NET Core or JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or similar)
An understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
Knowledge of back-end development concepts like RESTful APIs, server-side logic, and data integration
Awareness of secure coding practices for client-facing applications
Experience with reporting or automation tools is an advantage
Experience with version control systems, such as git, and exposure to basic DevOps workflows is a plus.
