As a Project Manager at CBO, you will play a central role in the successful delivery of change. Depending on your experience, you’ll either lead or support projects across a range of engagements. You’ll be part of a high-performing team that values structure, quality, and trust - delivering work that makes a difference to clients and communities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading or contributing to complex, business-critical projects from scoping through to delivery.
- Managing delivery plans, risks, budgets, and governance to keep projects controlled and on track.
- Working closely with clients to understand their goals, navigate ambiguity, and shape the most effective path forward.
- Collaborating with business, technology, and operational stakeholders across diverse teams and sectors.
- Applying structured methodologies to deliver change that is proportionate, scalable, and outcome-focused.
- Contributing to internal project delivery improvements, including the evolution of our frameworks and tools.

If you join as a more experienced Project Manager, your work may also include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
- Shaping delivery strategies and scoping projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams, including business analysts, developers, testers, and client SMEs.
- Managing end-to-end delivery for large-scale transformations, including technology, regulatory, and organisational change.
- Supporting business development and contributing to the growth of our Project Services practice.
- Mentoring junior colleagues and sharing your expertise across CBO.
Requirements
We’re open to a range of backgrounds but especially want to hear from individuals who:
- Have experience delivering projects using structured methods such as APM, PRINCE2, or PMP.
- Are comfortable working in consulting or client-facing environments, or are keen to grow in that direction.
- Have led or supported projects involving system change, digital delivery, regulation, or business transformation.
- Communicate clearly and confidently, with a natural ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Enjoy balancing structure with flexibility and can adapt quickly to different client contexts.
- Take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes and solving real-world problems.
If you’re an experienced professional, you should also have:
- A strong track record of leading full-lifecycle projects.
- Confidence in managing delivery complexity, across people, technology, and process.
- The ability to work independently and lead others with credibility and empathy.
