The event is an opportunity for local communications, marketing and PR professionals to hear five experienced and inspirational speakers delve into one of the most topical subjects facing business and our community today.

 

Lord Dr Hastings of Scarisbrick CBE, Global Head of Citizenship, KPMG International, will open the afternoon with a talk about purposeful profit, asking why sustainability and CSR matter, and what they mean for businesses who want to succeed now and in the future.

 

Emma Leech, the CIPR President, will explain what corporate purpose and CSR mean for PR professionals, and discuss the industry's role as the guardians of corporate reputation.

 

Richard Donovan, Global Head of Social Innovation & UK&I Head of Corporate Responsibility at Experian, will share how the credit-checking company is using the power of data to create a better future, and how it is delivering its purpose through core business activities and a corporate responsibility programme.

 

Advita Patel, Founder of the Comms Hive and the Chair of CIPR Inside, will consider what corporate purpose and CSR mean for staff. She will discuss the internal communications hurdles and explain how can you inspire and bring your people with you to create purposeful profit.
The event is open to CIPR members and non-members and the booking options include member discounts, an early-bird offer and the option of an evening meal with the speakers.
