Course Summary

This session takes a high-level look at the current state of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) including key challenges as well as opportunities that RPA brings.

Introduction

Leo Bossenkool, Director at Ernst & Young LLP, whose role focuses on IT audit support for external audits, system conversions and migrations and controls assurance, will be presenting a thirty minute live-streamed session on the current State of Robotic Process Automation. With the progress made in RPA, organisations are currently looking at how to make use of the innovation as well as overcome some of the challenges. The challenges include filling the skills gap, dependence on cloud platforms, security concerns and data privacy to name a few. Following the live-streamed session there will be a thirty minute facilitated discussion by Merial Lenfestey, Chair of Gemserv, with the key points from the presentation, explored in a local context.

Leo Boessenkool is a director in EY Jersey’s Technology Risk department. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor with over 10 years of experience in professional services.

Meriel Lenfestey's career has been built providing customer-centered strategy, technology and design consultancy to organisations of all shapes and sizes; across public, private and third sectors; and across many different markets. After time working in the US with Microsoft and in London with the BBC, she founded, grew and sold a London based Digital Experience Design consultancy. She now holds multiple Board roles across companies including JT, Gemserv and Aurigny.
