To tie in with Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 this growth presentation is specifically designed for start-ups and small businesses.

Deputy Sasha Kazantseva-Miller will be opening Global Entrepreneurship Week with a building businesses breakfast, introducing Charles Mindenhall, Co Founder of Blenheim Chalcot and Richard Hanrahan, CEO of Agilisys.  This session will focus on discussing the importance of adopting a growth mindset when scaling businesses.  Charles and Richard will be sharing their experiences of growing businesses and valuable lessons they have learnt along the way.

Speakers

Sasha Kazantseva-Miller

People's Deputy of the States of Guernsey

Sasha is a People's Deputy of the States of Guernsey, member of the Committee for Economic Development and Lead on Digital, Skills and Entrepreneurship.

She worked in Google and Agoda and after moving to Guernsey in 2012, helped launch the Digital Greenhouse and Startup Guernsey. Sasha has been actively involved with different businesses and startups as an investor, consultant or Non-Executive Director.  She co-founded Afaafa, a Guernsey-based investment and advisory company and ran Island Mums, a business and marketing network.

Sasha is an advocate for sustainable development and runs a podcast called Transition Islands.

She holds an MBA from INSEAD and has lived and worked in Singapore, Bangkok, London, Moscow, Madrid, Guernsey and Ulaan Bataar.

Charles Mindenhall

Co-Founder of Blenheim Chalcot

Charles Mindenhall is Co-Founder of Blenheim Chalcot, the UK’s leading digital venture builder, that has built over 40 businesses in a variety of sectors, including technology, financial services, education, travel, software, sport and media.

Blenheim Chalcot traces its roots back to Netdecisions, which Charles and his business partner Manoj Badale founded back in 1998.

Charles is a trustee of Onside Youth Zones, a charity providing state-of-the-art youth centres in deprived areas of the country, and chair of Onside in London, where they are currently rolling out 4 Youth Zones in the capital. 

He is also a trustee of the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, MHI (Mental Health Innovations) and Charity Digital Trust.

Richard Hanrahan

CEO of Agilisys Guernsey

Richard Hanrahan is Chief Executive of Agilisys Guernsey, the digital technology specialist working to support the States of Guernsey's SMART Guernsey programme to deliver 21st Century IT, reform public services and support the development and growth of the local economy.

For much of the last 20 years, he has been involved in the design, development and delivery of transformational programmes for public sector organisations as well as clients in banking, media, retail and travel. His work has taken him all over Europe and to South East Asia. 

Richard has real clarity and insight into the challenges that organisations face when seeking to scale and, in particular the importance of leadership, imagination and determination in delivering growth.
