To tie in with Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 this data and security session is specifically designed for start-ups and small businesses.

The world of data protection and cybersecurity can be a confusing place for new businesses, Tony Cleal from Black Arrow Cyber Consulting and Tim Loveridge from the Office of the Data Protection Authority will be helping to clarify the requirement and key considerations for small businesses.

The session will include presentations from Tony Cleal on how to keep your business safe and Tim Loveridge who will be covering engaging with data protection in a positive way and why it matters. The session will also include a Q&A section for any questions from attendees.

Speakers 
Tim Loveridge, Chief Operating Officer at the  Office of the Data Protection Authority oversees developing and maintaining the ODPA’s operational framework and also supports the commissioners on strategy, governance and effective regulation. Tim has a particular focus on supporting local businesses to embrace ethical innovation in their use of personal data.  

Tony Cleal, Lead Cyber & Information Security Consultant at Black Arrow Cyber. Tony is former British Intelligence having worked for the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), part of GCHQ, and worked with MI5 and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) to protect UK critical infrastructure against attacks from nation-states, terrorists and criminal groups. Whilst working for the Security Services, Tony also led on two National Protect Law Enforcement operations with the UK National Crime Agency (NCA) to disrupt organised cybercriminal groups operating via the UK.
