Learn the basics of the statistical programming language R over this 4-week course. Aimed at complete beginners, you'll learn the basics and how to apply R to some simple data analysis problems. Previous experience in any programming language is not required, and some experience with software like Excel or SPSS is preferable.

R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics and provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering, …) and graphical techniques.

Adam Rawles has been using R for 4 years both in academic and professional environments. He began teaching R to others just over a year ago, and developing a free book called "teacheR" for beginners to the language.
