This series will include five webinars, each featuring subject matter experts, to explore the process of relocating to Guernsey, and the many benefits of Island life, as well as delving into the subjects that are often of particular interest to prospective relocators. Each of the five webinars will be available on-demand after broadcast.

Join Locate Guernsey for its Healthcare Deep Dive, the final event in the Winter Series. Locate Guernsey recognises that healthcare is often an area of particular interest for prospective relocators, so has produced a Deep Dive to explore the local healthcare system in greater detail.

Join Jo Stoddart, Director of Locate Guernsey, as she speaks with three of the Island’s healthcare professionals who endeavour to answer some of the important healthcare questions that may be on the minds of prospective relocators.

Jo Stoddart

Director, Locate Guernsey

Jo has extensive personal experience of relocation having lived in Yorkshire, Paris, London, Jersey and for the past 16 years in Guernsey.

A former professional events’ organiser at IMG and the OECD in Paris, founder of a successful pan-island relocation consultancy and former Chair of the Association of Relocation Professionals, Jo joined Locate Guernsey in 2018. She is a passionate ambassador for the island and enjoys helping potential new residents to discover how living in Guernsey could work for them, their families and their business interests.

Dr. Robbie Hanna

Partner, Island Health Medical Practice

Dr. Hanna graduated from Queens University, Belfast in 1983. His main clinical interests are in paediatric Medicine and acupuncture.

He is a Member of The Royal College of General Practitioners and holds Diplomas in child health, obstetrics & gynaecology and geriatric medicine.

He is a Member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society. Dr. Hanna also represents the practice on Les Bourgs Hospice Medical Panel and has recently completed the diploma in palliative medicine.

Dr. Duncan Watt

General Physician, Island Health Medical Practice

Dr Duncan Watt moved to the Island with his wife Georgina and joined the Practice in 2017. He became a Partner in January 2018.

Dr Watt went to Norwich Medical School and worked as a GP in the Norfolk area. He undertook additional accredited Dermatology training through Barts and The London School of Medicine and qualified with distinction.

Dr Watt has a particular interest in Dermatology, Minor Surgery and Men’s health. He is competent in Dermatoscopy (detailed analysis of skin lesions such as moles). He performs minor operations and is also trained in contraceptive implant fitting/removal.

Dr. Steve Evans

Geriatrician, General Physician and Chair of the Department of Medicine

Dr Evans joined the Medical Specialist Group in 2002 as a general physician with a special interest in elderly care. He grew up in South Wales and attended Bristol University Medical School, graduating in 1988.

Following general medical training in Bristol & Birmingham, he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994. Registrar posts in Jersey, Southampton and New Zealand, and higher specialist training in the University Hospitals of Leicester, led to the Completion of Certificate in Specialist Training (CCST) in General and Geriatric Medicine.

Dr Evans was appointed as a Consultant Physician at Leicester General Hospital in 1999. He helped develop stroke and syncope services there. He has been involved in developing the local geriatric service, in particular services for stroke and syncope, and with other geriatricians has been responsible for improving services for patients with Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and falls.
