Deputy Sasha Kazantseva-Miller will be opening Data Driven Guernsey Week with a Shaping The Future breakfast event, introducing Adrian Lewis and Matthew Bell from Frontier Economics. This session will focus on discussing how data is shaping the future and the steps we can take to harness these findings and apply them to drive our business.

Speakers

Sasha Kazantseva-Miller

People's Deputy of the States of Guernsey

Sasha is a People's Deputy of the States of Guernsey, member of the Committee for Economic Development and Lead on Digital, Skills and Entrepreneurship.

She worked in Google and Agoda and after moving to Guernsey in 2012, helped launch the Digital Greenhouse and Startup Guernsey. Sasha has been actively involved with different businesses and startups as an investor, consultant or Non-Executive Director.  She co-founded Afaafa, a Guernsey-based investment and advisory company and ran Island Mums, a business and marketing network.

Sasha is an advocate for sustainable development and runs a podcast called Transition Islands.

She holds an MBA from INSEAD and has lived and worked in Singapore, Bangkok, London, Moscow, Madrid, Guernsey and Ulaan Bataar.

Adrian Lewis

Lead local Associate, Frontier Economics

Adrian Lewis recently joined Frontier Economics as its lead local Associate in Guernsey.  Previously, Adrian was the acting Chief Executive of the States of Alderney and has held senior posts within the States of Guernsey including as Chief Secretary at Home Affairs, Chief Secretary of Environment & Infrastructure, Chief Officer of Public Services and Chief Officer of Culture & Leisure. 

Adrian has a wealth of experience of public policy through his leadership roles in both Alderney and Guernsey.  He also has extensive commercial knowledge of utilising data for social media marketing and product endorsements.

Matthew Bell OBE

Director of Public Policy at Frontier Economics

Matthew Bell OBE is Director of Public Policy at Frontier Economics and Non-Executive Director of the Energy Saving Trust. He was previously CEO of the Committee on Climate Change. 

He has worked widely on all aspects of policy including the development of strategies for UK growth, skills, low carbon transition and trade.  He has also worked widely for the States of Guernsey on issues ranging from connectivity to financial services, skills and employment .
