Steven Drost - Codebase CSO

Steven is a two-time entrepreneur, once successful, once failed. He has extensive experience of hiring, building revenues, selling companies, fund raising, and more. He has the scars and war stories to prove it. He is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at CodeBase and sees many startups per year. He loves to help business grow and network founders with peers, customers and investors. He has recently been appointed Trustee at David Hume Institute, Scottish policy think-tank based in Edinburgh.

David, Bytes' Group CTO, has twice been a finalist for Information Security Person of the Year at the SC Awards. David brings strategic focus to clients, leads the Bytes technical division and raises the profile of information security issues amongst customers and in the wider industry., regularly speaking at industry events, delivering keynotes at Infosecurity Europe and running customer education forums and technology workshops on industry issues. With over 20 years experience in the industry, and 15 at Bytes, David’s centre of technical excellence at Bytes has secured Bytes’ longstanding top tier partner statuses with Check Point, Sophos, Forcepoint, Zscaler, Thales, Okta, Proofpoint & more.
