This is a panel discussion with data protection regulators from across the islands. We will be joined by Emma Martins, Information Commissioner for the Bailiwick of Guernsey, Iain McDonald, Isle of Man Information Commissioner, Bradley Tosso, Director of Information Rights and Operations for Gibraltar and Paul Vane, Information Commissioner for Jersey.

The Panel will be Chaired by Kurt Roosen, Head of Innovation Digital Isle of Man.

The panel will be exploring How Global regulation fits together, from both a client and also a business perspective. What is universal and what is localised; the differentials in enforcement (eg Spain vs UK vs US re Facebook/Cambridge Analytica); jurisdictional attitudes to cross-jurisdiction data (ie Germany and Microsoft Azure); Data protection from other Governments & Enforcement Bodies (eg data interception en-route).

This follows directly on from the 'It started with a phish: a bite-sized introduction to incident response which will start at 2 pm at the Digital Greenhouse.
