This session will walk through how Matt designed and developed the Workload Discovery on AWS tool to help AWS users discover and visualise relationships between AWS services that make up their cloud workloads. Matt will discuss; the Workload Discovery on AWS tool and what it does, its architecture, and key areas of scalability.
About Matt
Matt has recently returned to Guernsey after 3.5 years in the UK working as a Solutions Engineer at AWS. His main responsibility was helping AWS and its customers architect and develop cloud-based solutions. The most successful being Workload Discovery on AWS. He led this project from its inception and built it into one of the most popular AWS solutions to date. As you may have guessed he loves all things Cloud.
Dave will be taking the audience through the process and covering several tools to use to ensure you are building the correct solution for your client.
About Dave
Dave Wratten is a Senior Solutions Developer at Resolution IT, since joining the Business Solutions team, Dave has gained an MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) accreditation, Azure Developer and DevOps Engineering Expert certifications as well as an Agile Project management qualification. His area of expertise is in the development of custom software and cloud solutions.
Dave joined Resolution IT from the public sector where he worked on ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems and other business software.

About Bruce
Bruce is Governance Director. Senior Cyber and Information Security Consultant at Black Arrow Cyber Consulting.
Bruce leads Black Arrow’s work on Cyber Security Governance, helping clients to understand and manage their Cyber risks in line with leading practice. At Black Arrow, they firmly believe that Cyber Security requires the aligned controls across People, Operations and Technology underpinned by Governance by the Board. Bruce has experience in all those areas, but he is particularly passionate about Governance because without that, the rest can fall apart.
Bruce has several leading qualifications in Cyber Security, as well as in HR and Finance. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with EY before enjoying a career in management consulting and project management, during which time he extended into HR consulting. Later, his Finance and HR careers merged when he was responsible for governance and financial management for the regional HR teams in HSBC before moving into Cyber Security. Bruce has a master's degree in HR and is Chair of the Guernsey branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD); he is also a member of the Channel Islands Information Security Forum (CIISF).

Sarah leads the People & Organisation team at PwC, focussing on helping clients with future-proofing their workforce. This includes working on client projects such as full scale digital upskilling programmes, culture reviews and consulting on hybrid/innovative working approaches.
REST APIs are a foundation for many mobile and web applications but getting them right can be tricky and getting them wrong can be a barrier to adoption. In this talk, Damien will go through the designing entities and endpoints and then cover versioning, security, rate limiting, error handling, caching and how to document all that with OpenAPI.

About Patrizia
Dr. Patrizia Kaye graduated from the University of Durham in 2008 with a Master's degree in Mathematics, having written her dissertation on machine learning and neural networks.
Patrizia began her professional career as a software engineer in the oil and gas industry, whilst simultaneously working towards a PhD in Computer Science, in which she developed new algorithms for 3D surface reconstruction and mesh alignment. She moved to Germany and joined part of Crytek GmbH, quickly taking the lead on revitalising their build and deployment systems and attempting to automate herself out of a job.
Having successfully done so, Patrizia moved to Schlafender Hase ("Sleeping Hare") GmbH, where she works on automated proofreading software for regulated industries, where she has learned more about barcodes than she
thought there was to know.
Patrizia has recently started studying for an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bath and spends her free time playing video games, board games, and learning languages (currently French).
Tim will be taking the audience through the benefits of the developer tool, Camunda. Camunda's process orchestration platform allows developers to design, automate and orchestrate the microservices necessary to improve automated business processes.
