What is Student Summit?

Are you ready to step into the forefront of innovation? Whether you are aiming to study Computer Science at University, kickstart your career in the Digital Sector or fuel your passion for technology, then this summit is for you. Taking place on the evening of Wednesday 13th March from 4pm - 7:30 the event will feature speakers from University College London and First Central Group. There will also be networking opportunities with complementary pizza. 

We are pleased to be offered a limited set of fully funded placements for this course as part of this years Digital Innovators Programme which is kindly powered by First Central Group. The event is open to post 16 students and parents.

Session 1: AI for Education & Future Careers

Professor Manolis Mavrikis, Artificial Intelligence and Analytics in Education - University College London

Professor Manolis Mavrikis, professor of Artificial Intelligence and Analytics in Education at University College London will take attendees through an engaging first session on how AI is reshaping education and what this means for future careers. 

 

Session 2: Kickstarting a career in data

Paul French, Director of Data and Analytics - First Central Group

17:00 - 17:30

Paul French, Director of Data and Analytics for First Central Group will speak about how students can kick start a career in data analytics, sharing some top tips about how to get started, what a career looks like and what roles might look like in the future. 

 

Session 3: AI and the future of work

Professor Dan Brown, Entrepreneur in Residence - University College London

17:30 - 18:20

Professor Dan Brown, Entrepreneur in Residence at University College London will finish off the summit but speaking about how AI is changing the job landscape and what this means for the future of work. 

 

Pizza & Networking

18:20 - 19:30

The event will conclude with some time for attendees to network with each other and meet representatives from University College London and First Central Group as well as being able to enjoy the complementary pizza.
