Join us for this session on how to make evidence-based decisions using data, with Rob Woodhard from Frontier Economics. The session will offer guidance on how to generate insight from datasets, including short introductions to different approaches for analysing and visualising data. There will also be some tips on how to interpret results from data analysis. This guidance will be brought to life in a short series of charts, describing the Economics of two key issues affecting Guernsey.

Rob Woodhard

Rob is a local Guernseyman, educated at St Martins primary and then Elizabeth College. After graduating in Economics, Rob has split his time between Guernsey and the UK, where he works for Frontier Economics.

In his role as a Consultant at Frontier, Rob is responsible for leading analytical project workstreams. To do this, he combines economic thinking with data science techniques to provide businesses and government with clear insights on complex issues. This requires using a range of quantitative methods, from machine learning through to simpler descriptive analysis, to assess evidence and verify the right approach for clients to take. Rob’s recent Policy work includes Skills and Aviation in Guernsey, and he has also worked independently on a data project for the GFSC. More information is available here
